Welcome to Algebra 2 !

Algebra 2 continues to work with linear, quadratic, and exponential functions. We will extend our study of linear and quadratic functions to include greater power functions, known as polynomial functions. We will also study the inverse of these functions, radical, rational, and logarithmic functions. Lastly, we will the functions that result from the trigonometric relationships you studied in geometry. Students extend their repertoire of functions to include polynomial, rational, radical, and trigonometric functions. This course will be divided into four units: Quadratic & Radical Functions, Polynomial & Rational Functions, Exponential & Logarithmic Functions, and Trigonometric Functions. Additionally, the Mathematical Practice Standards apply throughout this course and, together with the content standards, allow you to experience mathematics as a coherent, useful, and logical subject that makes use of your ability to make sense of problem situations.
